SIDC Vision
SIDC’s vision is to become the strength behind an adequately served, healthy, and empowered community by providing the right services and guaranteeing a better quality of life for youth and key affected populations in Lebanon.
SIDC's Mission
SIDC’s mission is to develop social solidarity by reinforcing healthy behaviours in Lebanon through prevention, harm reduction policies, advocacy, and psychosocial services for our target populations (drug users, people living with HIV, vulnerable and stigmatised people).
Our objectives, which go hand-in-hand with the needs of the community and are based on the evaluations and observations executed by our field-working teams, are as follows:
– To inform, prevent, and reduce the number of infections related to HIV, STIs, and risky behaviours, through the awareness of our youth, Drug Users, Female and Male Sex Workers, Men who have Sex with Men, and society on the whole.
– To improve, on the longer run, the living conditions of people made vulnerable by stigma and discrimination in our society by providing them with a surrounding where their dignity and rights are preserved.
– To develop our diverse programmes (HIV and addiction programmes) in order to respond to a community that is increasingly touched by HIV, STIs and addictive behaviours.
– To involve the community actors and policymakers in order to change the laws and prejudices that govern our country.
