Baylor Black Sea Foundation (Baylor Romania) it is a non profit and non governamental organization. The Foundation was set up in 2004 by BIPAI (Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative), an international network of Centers of Excellence that fight against AIDS.
Baylor Romania vision is to live in a stigma free community that is able to stop the transmission of HIV and other infectious diseases such as hepatitis B and C.
Baylor Romania mission is to help communities develop effective HIV and infectious diseases prevention and care services.
Baylor-Black Sea Foundation currently operates at the Centre of Excellence in Constanta,Romania where more than 800 patients receive multidiciplinary care.
Our community programs include prevention and testing for HIV and hepatitis B and C. Our strategy is to link prevention with testing and access to treatment and to continuously support patients and families from a psychosocial point of view.
Our education programs support health professionals, but also young volunteers and exposed people from community.
Baylor has a residential facility for homeless HIV positive young people that offer free housing and support services to up to 14 young women and men.
We implement Candlelight Memorial and Word hepatitis Alliance Campaigns.
