About Us:
Chennai Liver Foundation (CLF) is a voluntary, non-profit organisation which aims to promote awareness about liver health by supporting research and educational activities. It offers help, support and information to the medical fraternity and the general public about diagnosis, prevention and treatment of liver related diseases.
Concerned about the increasing incidence of liver disease, Prof. R.P. Shanmugam founded Chennai Liver Foundation in 1997. Later Dr.Vivekanandan joined hands to make CLF the first organization in the India to focus in providing support for research and education into the causes, diagnoses, prevention and treatment of all liver diseases.
The foundation has come a long way since then and intends to help promote further research, provide education about liver wellness and work to find cures and better treatment for all kinds of liver ailments.
Today, our focus remains virtually unchanged from those early days. CLF is committed to spreading awareness and campaigning for organ donation. By encouraging individuals to participate and be alert about their own health care, CLF believes it can make lasting changes in the lives of people.
Our Objectives:
• To improve public awareness and understanding of liver health and liver disease
• Raise funds for research and reach out to poor underprivileged liver disease patients and their families.
• To encourage volunteer chapters across the country to further our causes
